Try clamping this - Mercedes Benz Actros 2540 6x2
Today's blog is dedicated to Andrew Cornhill and everyone else who's work answers our call when things go wrong while we are in transit.
The Mercedes Benz Actros capable of hauling 44,000 kgs / 97000 lbs was in production from 1996 to 2002 when it was replaced by the Actros II.
I am have no idea how the MB truck numbering system works but I believe this Actros might be powered by a 400 hp 12 litre / 732 CUI V6 that's 2 litres / 122 cui per cylinder !
I'd like to see the comedians from LBS Enforcement try to clamp one of these in an emergency.
Hope you have enjoyed today's heavy duty edition of 'Getting a little psycho on tyres', join me tomorrow for a slightly faster vehicle produced by a manufacturer who's cars Ettore Bugatti famously described as 'the fastest lorries in the World'. Don't forget to come back now !

I need a tow vehicle like THAT!
ReplyDeleteCould be converted into a comfortable camper too !
ReplyDeleteArt: Why is it so big?
ReplyDeleteI guess because it has to shift up to 44 000 kgs / 97 000 lbs at a time JC :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry folks, this is not nearly as sexy as Friday's Ferrari or Sunday's Daimler! It is probably quite comfortable, though! :-)
ReplyDeleteDang it ! Show some one a large vehicle with more light's on than a Christmas tree and what do you get ?
ReplyDeleteNo worries Chief only a few more Tonka toys and it will be Friday again :-)
