GALPOT Weekly #03/13

Welcome to GALPOT Weekly #03/13 a review of the last seven posts at "Gettin' a li'l psycho on tyres". Elva Porsche Mk VII, Race Retro This week started with a look at a look at an Elva Porsche in need of some TLC, Porsche were so impressed with this model they bought one for Herbert Muller to drive as a Porsche works entry in the 1963 European Hillclimb Championship. MG6 GT, Classic Motor Show, NEC, Birmingham Jason Plato finished third in last years British Touring Car Championship driving this MG6 GT which I looked at on Tuesday. Parsons, Exeter Trial, Cirencester Wednesdays blog was about my adventures at the beginning of the month as a navigator for Alan Spencer on the Exeter Trial in the unique Parsons seen above. Ferrari 512 S, Goodwood Festival of Speed This Ferrari 512S, which I looked at on Friday was pretty battered and beaten up when it finished the 1971 Daytona 24 Hours, Ronnie Buchnum and Tony Adamowicz still managed to bring it home in second place behind Pedro Rodriguez and Jackie Oliver in their Porsche 917K. Lotus Eclat Excel, Classic Motor Show, NEC, Birmingham On Saturday I looked at this Lotus Excel which is the prototype distinguished by having an the older Eclat name on the boot lid and many other distinguishing features within. Daimler Consort, Classics at the Castle, Sherbourne 20/01/13 Correction today's post features this magnificent Daimler Consort with built in jacking.
